We are so thrilled to highlight Anjani C., a dedicated and passionate scholar who has achieved so much over the last year amidst several challenges. Last year, Anjani was infected with COVID-19 and during a check-in with his counselor, he expressed feeling depressed because his entire family had COVID-19. Right away, his counselor made a referral to Wellnest, and Anjani and his family started receiving therapy. Meanwhile, Anjani stayed involved with his youth leadership program and with United Friends. He worked hard in school and passed all his classes with B’s or higher. Anjani completed his junior year this Spring with a 4.00 GPA! He is currently coaching his younger sibling’s soccer team and has also joined his school’s football team. We know he is going to continue to succeed in all he does and works towards. We are so proud of you, Anjani!
