Lauren Kolodin was born in Potomac, Maryland but made the move to Los Angeles in 2014. She moved 2 weeks out of high school, at 17 years old, to pursue a career in acting but found her way into songwriting. Lauren ended up releasing a few songs under her own artist project in 2018 and charted at number 6 for R&B singles in Malaysia. After living in LA for almost 10 years, Lauren has started screenwriting and is currently developing an episodic script based on the lives of young successful girls in entertainment industry.
Lauren joined the NextGen Board in August 2023. Prior to joining, she has been an active volunteer for the National Brain Tumor Society for 20 years. As well as a volunteer for Adoptions Together for over 5 years.
Lauren spends most of her free time outside in nature, helping out at barn in Sun Valley, California.
