This month we want to shout out one of our Scholars, Manuel Diaz.

Manuel has been in the education program since 2015 and is now studying at Pasadena City College. This summer, he participated in the TV Academy Foundation’s summer internship program where he was placed at one of the world’s largest production companies, Endemol Shine North America which specializes in non-scripted productions. There, he worked with the VP of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Corporate Responsibility doing research and gathering information for many of their projects. Recently, he had the amazing opportunity to be a trophy presenter at this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards!

In addition to his full-time internship, Manuel also worked at Whole Foods on the weekends this summer. He is passionate about striving to be his best self day in and day out and hopes to inspire others to strive for their best as well.

Currently, Manuel is getting ready to apply to transfer to a university next year where he will pursue a career in sports broadcasting. We are so proud of all Manuel has accomplished and we look forward to seeing what else he achieves.
