When young people age out of the foster care system, they run a greater risk of experiencing hous­ing insta­bil­i­ty and homelessness, an unful­filled aca­d­e­m­ic trajectory, unem­ploy­ment, men­tal and behav­ioral health issues, and involve­ment in the crim­i­nal jus­tice system.
