As the CEO of CASA of Los Angeles (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Dr. Charity is a fierce advocate for systemic change, working to reshape policies that impact vulnerable communities. She is not only a scholar-activist, author, and national child welfare advocate, but also a leader who actively works to dismantle injustice and build a brighter future for foster youth.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Charity’s own lived experience fuels her passion for uplifting, educating, and empowering individuals from all backgrounds. Through her leadership at CASA/LA and beyond, she is redefining what’s possible and ensuring that foster youth have a voice in the decisions that shape their lives.
