This year our education team held virtual Friendsgiving holiday parties for all grade school and college youth. It was a fun, virtual social gathering, hosted in partnership with the Junior League of Los Angeles. In addition to playing games to foster cheer and a sense of community, prizes were also raffled off.

Our housing program staff also held a virtual Friendsgiving with residents. Every resident received a $25 Grubhub gift card and they were encouraged to use it to buy a meal or a side for a meal to share with loved ones on Thanksgiving.

Friendsgivings with our youth are an annual tradition that they really look forward to. It’s an important tradition for UFC youth and staff alike because it’s a space for them to come together and share how grateful they are for one another.
